Procedure 9-6.2: Create transit (swapped) Tunnel AIDs

- Overview

Use this procedure to create a cross-connect entity and establish a one-way, two-way cross-connection between the specified TUSegments. The System supports a maximum of 250 MPLS bidirectional TUSegment cross connections.

The ent-tmpls-tuseg command creates a TUSegment. See Procedure 9-6.1: Create Tunnel segments and terminated Tunnel AIDs.

The ent-tmpls-crstuseg command automatically generates a TUNNEL-AID output for TYPE=SWAP. The TUNNEL parameters can be modified using ED-TMPLS-TUNNEL command. The TUNNEL can be deleted using DLT-TMPLS-TUNNEL command.

Refer to the Alcatel-Lucent 1850 Transport Service Switch (TSS-5) TL1 Command Guide for T-MPLS, for help on using TLI commands.

Step

1

Login to the VLNC42B.

2

From the Navigation menu, select TMPLS → Tunnel Management → Create Transit Tunnel.

Equivalent TLI command: ent-tmpls-tuseg.

Result:

The Create Transit Tunnel Segment screen displays.

3

In each of the Tunnel Segment From/To sections, enter the parameters as required. See From/To tunnel segment input parameters.

Equivalent TLI command: ENT-TMPLSTUSEG:[ TID]::[CTAG]::PORT,[TYPE],[DIR],[USERNAME]:[L2ENCAPPROFAID=][, INLABEL=][,OUTLABEL=][,PHBPROF-AID=][,OAMPHB-AID=][,MEP=][,MEGID=][, MEP-ID=][,EXPMEPID=][,CVRX=][,CVTX=][,CVPERIOD=][,CVPHB=][,ALMPROF=][,PS-DDM-SD=];.

4

Note:

The Cross-Connection Type is automatically displayed as 2WAY. When the Submit button is clicked, two Transit (Swap) TUSegments and one CRS TUSegment are created. A Tunnel is also created from the CRS TUSegment.

Click Submit.

Equivalent TL1 command: ent-tmpls-crstuseg command to create the Transit Tunnel for swapped Tunnel Segments.

GE Ports 1-4 are T-MPLS ports.

Enter ENT-TMPLS-CRSTUSEG:[TID]:FROM,TO:[CTAG]::[CCT];, where:

  • FROM — TUSegment AID, identifies the FROM entity of the cross-connection.

  • TO — TUSegment AID, identifies the TO entity of the cross-connection.

  • CCT — Cross-connect Type, identifies the type of cross-connect. 2WAY (Two-Way), identifies a bi-directional cross-connection between the selected FROM and TO facility TUSegments.

Result:

Tunnel AID output identifying the TUNNEL automatically generated for Swapped TUSegments.

As the result, two Transit (Swap) TUSegments and one CRS TUSegment are created. A Tunnel is also created from the CRS TUSegment.

Example:

ENT-TMPLS-CRSTUSEG::TUSEG-1-1-10,TUSEG-1-1-20:::2WAY;.

From/To tunnel segment input parameters

Parameter

Value

TL1 command

MPLS Port (port)

AID of the port which is the server of the MPLS TUSegment. GE ports 1, 2, 3, 4.

ent-tmpls-tuseg: port

Type

Tunnel type. Valid value: SWAP.

ent-tmpls-tuseg: type=swap

Direction

Valid value: BIDIR.

ent-tmpls-tuseg: dir=bidir

User Name

The user name for the TUSegment. The valid value is a character string containing up to 30 valid characters.

ent-tmpls-tuseg: username

In Label (inlabel)

The expected Label for incoming segment associated to Sink TUSegment. The label value must be unique in the system. Valid values: an integer in the range of 16 - 1023. Note that the In Labels 16 - 1023 are for services and 130048 - 131071 are for IEEE 1588 PTP traffic.

ent-tmpls-tuseg: inlabel

Out Label (outlabel)

The Transmitted Label for outgoing segment to Source TUSegment. The label value must be unique on the MPLS port basis; the Out Label shall not exist for the MPLSIF referenced by Port parameter. Valid values: an integer in the range of 16 - 1048575.

ent-tmpls-tuseg: outlabel

PHB Profile (phbprof-aid)

Per-Hop Behavior Profile. This is a drop-down list containing all PHB Profile in the system. The default value is PHBPROF-n, where n is the value selected in the PHB Range field of the Global Network configuration screen. The default is PHBPROF-2.

ent-tmpls-tuseg: phbprof-aid

L2 Encapsulation Profile (l2encapprof-aid)

L2 encapsulation profile AID to be used in case of mapping of MPLS over Ethernet when a switched network is present. The System will check if profile is present using this parameter as access-key.

Default: L2ENCAPPROF-1.

ent-tmpls-tuseg: l2encapprof-aid=

Diagnostic Monitoring SD Prot. Switch (PS-DDM-SD)

Enables/disables the Protection Switch feature for Signal Degrade detected on the basis of the optical power monitored by Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) capable SSF/ TSF.

ent-tmpls-tuseg: ps-ddm-sd

Alarm Profile (almprof)

The Alarm Severity Assignment Profile (ASAP) name to use with this facility.

1-40 alphanumeric characters (plus '-') assigned as the userlabel for the desired profile.

ent-tmpls-tuseg: almprof=
