Workflow to configure flow statistics collection

For traffic in the business domain, enable AA performance reporting on each service from which flow statistics are to be collected. See “AA reporting” in the NSP NFM-P Classic Management User Guide for the configuration information. |

For traffic in the residential domain, enable AA performance reporting in one or more AA group policies, as required, by selecting the following parameter on the policy properties form: |

Open the NSP Flow Collector web UI; see To open the NSP Flow Collector web UI . |

Specify the NEs from which to collect flow statistics; see To specify the NEs and MDAs for flow statistics collection. |

Specify whether the statistics in a domain are to be stored for NSP Analytics use, or forwarded to a file server; see To configure the AA flow data persistence. |

Configure the aggregation parameters; see To configure flow statistics aggregation. |

If required, configure the transfer of collected flow statistics to a remote server; see To configure the transfer of result files. |

If required, specify the transfer options for statistics files in CSV format; see To configure CSV file compression and renaming. |

Configure a special-study policy, if required; see To configure an AA Cflowd special-study policy. |

Configure AA application or protocol filters as required; see To configure an AA application or protocol filter. |

If required, configure redundant destinations for the statistics collected by each NSP Flow Collector. See the NSP System Administrator Guide. |
