Workflow to manage AA policies

Stages
 

Configure AA group policies using To configure an AA group policy .

As required, configure the following components:

  • ASOs and ASO overrides

  • application profiles

  • application groups

  • charging groups

  • applications

  • application filters

  • custom protocols


Configure AQPs for AA group policies. See To configure an AQP .


Configure AA policers. See To configure an AA policer .


Create a policy sync group. See To configure a policy sync group .


Configure an AA flow watermark policy. See To configure an AA flow watermark .


Configure AA transit IP policies and transit prefix policies as required.

  1. Configure AA transit IP policies. See To configure an AA transit IP policy .

  2. Configure AA transit prefix policies. See To configure an AA transit prefix policy .

  3. Configure database persisted transit subscriber aggregators. See To configure a database persisted transit subscriber aggregator .

  4. Associate database persisted transit subscribers with aggregators. See To associate a database persisted transit subscriber with an aggregator .

  5. As required, view the database persisted transit subscriber information. See To view database persisted transit subscriber information .


Configure usage-based billing as required:

  1. Enable usage-based billing at the application profile level. See To configure usage-based billing for an application profile .

  2. Associate applications with charging groups. See To associate an application with a charging group .


Configure HTTP policies as required:

  1. Configure AA HTTP redirect policies. See To configure an AA HTTP redirect policy .

  2. Configure AA HTTP error redirect policies. See To configure an AA HTTP error redirect policy .


Configure AA protocol signatures and enable inactive protocols, as required. See To enable an AA protocol signature .

As required, delete AA objects or records.

  1. Delete an AA application, application group, or custom protocol; see To delete an AA application, application group, or custom protocol .

  2. Remove the record of an inactive AA transit subscriber from the NFM-P database; see To delete an inactive AA transit subscriber instance .
