An NSP license file is digitally signed. If you rename or modify the license XML file, the NSP rejects the license and network management may be severely compromised.

You must not rename or modify the XML file inside a compressed license file.

The following procedures describe how to:

• apply a new or updated license to an NSP system

• view an NSP license

• change the licensed NSP Feature Packs

• add or remove NSP installation options

An NSP license defines the scope and type of an NSP deployment. The license information is in XML format; for information about viewing the license content, see How do I view an NSP license?.

Note: You require root user privileges on the NSP deployer host to perform a license-management procedure in an NSP cluster.

Note: release-ID in a procedure step has the following format:

R.r.p-rel.version

where

R.r.p is the NSP release, in the form MAJOR.minor.patch

version is a numeric value
