To create a BGP confederation AS

Steps
 
1 

Choose Tools→Route Analysis→Admin Domains / CPAAs from the NFM-P main menu. The Admin Domains / CPAAs form opens.

Click on the Create button and choose Create BGP AS from the contextual menu. The BGP Autonomous System, AS (Create) form opens with the General tab displayed.

Set the Type parameter to Confederation AS.

4 

Configure the parameters:

  • AS Number

  • AS Name

  • Description

5 

Perform To add a BGP sub-AS to a confederation AS to add one or more sub-ASs to the confederation AS.

6 

Close the Admin Domains / CPAAs form.
