To configure IEEEv2 1588 BC and OC PTP clocks
Steps

Configure VLAN elements. See To configure microwave backhaul services for more information. Note: Ensure that the adjacencies are configured manually and the path search option is not used. |

On the equipment tree, expand Network→Wavence→Synchronization→IEEE 1588 PTP. |

Right-click on the Clock object and choose Properties. The IEEE 1588 PTP Clock (Edit) form opens. |

Set the Admin State parameter to Disabled. Note: The parameters in the IEEE 1588 PTP Clock (Edit) form are not editable when the Admin State parameter is Enabled. |

Perform one of the following to configure the clock type.
Note: When you change the clock type parameter, the values that are configured for the respective port parameters are lost and the parameters revert to the default values. |

Choose a PTP port and choose Properties. The IEEE 1588 PTP Port (Edit) form opens. |

Configure the VLAN ID parameter with the same value as you configured in Step 1. Note: The VLAN ID that you assign to one port cannot be assigned to any other port. |

Configure the remaining parameters, if required. |

Save your changes and close the form. |

Repeat Step 3 to open the IEEE 1588 PTP Clock (Edit) form. |

Set the Admin State parameter to Enabled, save your changes, and close the form. Result: All the parameters are read-only except Admin State and no further changes can be made to the Clock Type parameter. End of steps |
