Communication problems

If a mediation policy is edited when it is in use by a discovery rule, communication with devices may be affected.

Verify that the updated protocol credentials match the configuration on the NE.

The default classic mediation policy can be edited but cannot be deleted.

Note: The special characters ; and \ can appear in classic policy names that have been synched from NFM-P. These characters are not allowed in NSP. Policies with these characters in their names cannot be edited or deleted in NSP.

Steps

Open Device Discovery, Mediation Policies.

The system displays the list of configured mediation policies.

To edit a mediation policy:

  1. Choose a policy and click png1.png(Table row actions), Edit.

  2. Configure the parameters and click UPDATE.

To delete a mediation policy, choose a policy and click png1.png(Table row actions), Delete, and confirm.

A policy cannot be deleted if it is in use by a discovery rule.
