Software update
Before upgrading to a new software release on a system with Secure Boot enabled, the user must first validate that the new software image is properly signed. This validation ensures the system only boots Nokia-signed software images and does not boot unsigned or improperly signed images.
Validate the software image using the command admin>system>security>secure-boot>validate software-image url, where the URL specifies the new TiMOS *.tim images and its location. This validation includes support.tim, both.tim, as well as the boot.ldr if present in the CF3 directory.
On Secure Boot-enabled systems, the Secure Boot validation can be used instead of the file>checksum and file>version commands to validate software.
