This topic describes the steps to request a root certificate from a Certification Authority (CA).
This procedure must be performed if you are not using a certification authority that is supported by Sun Java Runtime Environment as a trusted root authority. Refer to http://java.sun.com.
The Lucent CM system requires a signed certificate in the ASCII - PEM format. Importing a signed certificate in any other format will fail.
