This topic describes the steps to add, modify, or delete a call server from the Lucent CM system. Call servers provide calling features to end users.
Lucent CM supports the following call servers:
Lucent Feature Server 5000 (FS 5000)
Lucent Feature Server 3000 (FS 3000)
The different call servers can provide different sets of call features.

Parameters showing the FS 3000 call server connection status:
Parameter |
Description |
Node |
Node name |
OCI-C Status or CAP Status 1 |
The status of the call control interface between the call server and the Lucent CM system. |
OCI-P Status or OSS Status 1 |
The status of the provisioning interface between the call server and the Lucent CM system. |
1 | If the type of protocol the FS 3000 uses is not known, the column headers are labelled Call Status and Provision Status. |
Important! Until the provisioning interface is CONNECTED, no call logging or Click-To-Dial services are available to end users, and no feature settings can be changed. Also if you enable Autoprovision, no user accounts can be added, modified or deleted.
If the connection to the call server is enabled and the call control interface and provisioning interface is NOT CONNECTED, a problem exists.
The FS 3000 parameters display when you select FS 3000 as Call Server Type.
FS 3000 call server parameters:
Parameter |
Description |
Primary Call Server |
Host name of the FS 3000 primary application server. |
Secondary Call Server |
Host name of the FS 3000 secondary application server. |
System Phone Domain |
Domain name for the telephone system. This parameter is the domain that is provisioned for the FS 3000 when it is installed. The domain name can be found in the FS 3000 administration GUI at the system level. Select Resources → Domains. When the domain is incorrect, users cannot be added. System Phone Domain must match provisioning in the FS 3000. |
Auto Provision |
Checkmark box to enable automatic user provisioning to the call server. Refer to Auto provisioning on Lucent FS 3000 |
Sign on URL |
The URL used to log in to the FS 3000 users web interface. |
Time Zone |
The time zone where the call server is located. |
If automatic user provisioning is enabled, the changes that are made using the Lucent CM Explorer are forwarded to the Lucent FS 3000 call server. If automatic user provisioning is disabled, the changes that are made, are not forwarded to the Lucent FS 3000. Changes must be made manually on the Lucent FS 3000 to ensure that configuration data remains synchronized between the Lucent FS 3000 and the Lucent CM.
When auto-provisioning is enabled and no provisioning connection to the Lucent FS 3000 is available, users cannot be deleted. First disable auto-provisioning if you want to delete users when no provisioning connection is available.
Before you delete a call server, you must delete all packages.
