 Overview
 OverviewUse this procedure to delete a user-created alarm severity assignment profile (ASAP) that is not currently active. DEFAULT ASAPs cannot be deleted.
 Before you begin
 Before you beginPrior to performing this procedure:
Refer to Before you begin and Required equipment in this chapter.
Verify that the work instructions identify the user-created ASAP to be deleted.
Perform the following steps to delete a user-created alarm severity assignment profile (ASAP) that is not currently active.
| 1 | Important! The system will not delete an ASAP that is assigned to an entity. From the System View menu, select Reports → Alarm Severity Assignment Profile User List. Result: The View Alarm Severity Profile User List window opens. | 
| 2 | Select the required ASAP to be deleted and click ASAP User List. Result: The ASAP user list appears. | 
| 3 | Using the ASAP user list, determine if the ASAP to be deleted is currently assigned to an entity (active). Record any entities that are listed. | 
| 4 | If required, repeat Step 2 and Step 3 to view the user list for another ASAP. Otherwise, click Close. | 
| 5 | If the ASAP to be deleted is currently assigned to an entity, assign another ASAP to the entity. Reference: Procedure 6-10: Assign alarm severity assignment profile | 
| 6 | Select Configuration → Alarms → Alarm Severity Assignment Profile. Result: The Provision Alarm Severity Profile window opens. | 
| 7 | Select the Delete ASAP Operation and the ASAP to be deleted from the list. Then click Delete at the bottom of the window. Result: The ASAP information appears. | 
| 8 | Verify the ASAP information and click Apply. Result: A warning appears asking you to confirm executing this command. Click Yes. | 
| 9 | If required, repeat Step 7 and Step 8 to delete another ASAP. Otherwise, click Close. | 
| 10 | Select View → View Alarms → View Alarm Severity Assignment Profile and verify that the ASAP was deleted. End of steps |
