Procedure 7-26: Provision SNMP V3 tables

- Overview

Use this procedure to provision, create, or delete SNMP V3 tables.

To provision SNMP V3 management access to the system, refer to Procedure 7-25: Edit, delete, or enter SNMP V3 users.

To provision SNMP contact/location information and enable/disable SNMP authentication failure traps, refer to Procedure 7-5: Provision system SNMP management features.

- Privilege level

You must log in as a Privileged user to complete this procedure.

- Before you begin

Prior to performing this procedure:

  1. Refer to Before you begin and Required equipment in this chapter.

  2. Obtain the work instructions for this procedure.

Steps

Perform the following steps to provision, create, or delete SNMP V3 tables.

From the System View menu, select Administration → Security → Provision SNMP Tables.

Result:

The Provision SNMP Tables window opens to allow you to provision, create, or delete an SNMP table.

Determine the required provisioning.

If...

Then...

adding a new SNMP table,

Continue with Step 3.

modifying an existing SNMP table entry,

Proceed to Step 4.

deleting an existing SNMP table entry,

Proceed to Step 5.

Perform the following to ADD A NEW TABLE:

  1. Select the Create Operation.

  2. Select the SNMP Table to be created and click Create at the bottom of the window.

  3. Provision the required parameters and attribute values according to the work instructions.

  4. Click Apply at the bottom of the window.

Proceed to Step 6.

Perform the following to MODIFY AN EXISTING TABLE ENTRY:

  1. Select the Provision Operation.

  2. Select the SNMP Table entry to be modified and click Provision at the bottom of the window.

  3. Provision the required attribute values according to the work instructions.

  4. Click Apply at the bottom of the window.

Proceed to Step 6.

Perform the following to DELETE AN EXISTING TABLE ENTRY:

  1. Select the Delete Operation.

  2. Select the SNMP Table entry to be deleted and click Delete at the bottom of the window.

  3. Verify the SNMP Table entry to be deleted and click Apply at the bottom of the window.

Continue with Step 6.

Then...

Yes

Return to Step 2.

No
