Workflow to create a VPRN service

Overview

The following workflow lists the high-level steps required to create a VPRN service. As a prerequisite for creating a VPRN service, this workflow assumes the following:

a group or customer with the required user access privileges has been configured.
the IP or IP/MPLS core network exists.
any required service tunnels are created including the static, dynamic or SR-TE LSP required to create the service tunnel; see To create an IP/MPLS service tunnel .
the access ports for the service are created; see Chapter 16, Port and channel object configuration .
any required pre-defined routing, QoS, scheduling, filter, accounting, and time of day suite policies are created; see Chapter 49, Policies overview . You do not have to create pre-defined policies if policies are created on a per-service basis.
any required MP-BGP for PE-to-PE routing is configured; see Chapter 28, Routing protocol configuration for more information about protocol configuration.

3	Configure the VPRN site TCP/IP assignments, IP addressing, and timing protocols as required. Configure NAT on a VPRN site; see To configure NAT on a routing instance . 4	Enable one or more routing protocols on a VPRN site as required. Enable routing protocols on a VPRN site; see To enable routing protocols on a VPRN site . 5	Configure or add the following objects or instances on a VPRN site or service. Routing instance; see To configure a routing instance on a VPRN site . 6	Configure the following server types for a VPRN site or service as required. Local DHCPv4 server; see To configure a local DHCPv4 server on a VPRN site . Local DHCPv6 server; see To configure a local DHCPv6 server on a VPRN site . RADIUS server; see To configure a RADIUS server on a routing instance . 7	Create or add the following interfaces to a VPRN site as required. AA interfaces; see To add an AA interface to an IES or a VPRN site . AARP interfaces; see To add an AARP interface to an IES or a VPRN site . GNE service interfaces; see To configure a GNE site and GNE service interface on a VPRN service . Group interfaces; see To configure a group interface on a VPRN . 8	Create and assign policies to VPRN sites as required: Configure VRF import and export policies on a VPRN site; see To configure VRF import and export policies on a VPRN site . 9	If GRT route leaking is required, configure the following: Configure routing policies as required; see To configure a routing policy statement. 10	Configure the VPRN service connections/routes/targets/links/tunnels between devices as required. Bind a VPRN site to service tunnels; see To bind a VPRN site to service tunnels . 13	Perform service assurance/OAM related task as required on VPRN services or sites: Run an OAM validation test for a VPRN; see To run an OAM validation test for a VPRN service . 14	View VPRN service information assigned to a VPRN site; as required: MVPN extranet objects; see To list MVPN Extranet objects for a NE .
