Add, modify, or delete an ISG logging service

Purpose

This topic describes the steps to add, modify, or delete an ISG logging service. Logging services define the location and characteristic of the system where call logs are retrieved or stored for users.

The ISG logging service uses the Lucent MiLife^® Intelligent Services Gateway

ISG logging service parameters

The ISG logging service parameters:

Parameter	Description
`Log Service ID`	A unique identifier for the logging service.
`Type`	The type of logging service. Available types are: `ISG`
`Enabled`	Check mark box to define if the logging service is enabled.
`URL`	The URL of the ISG in the format `http[s]://<hostname>/`
`User`	User authentication name to retrieve logs from the ISG.
`Password`	Password to access the call logs.
`Verify Password`	Password to access the call logs.
`Status`	Summary of the connection status between Lucent CM system and the ISG. Values of the status summary: `ALL CONNECTED` `SOME CONNECTION DOWN` `ALL DISCONNECTED`
Details	Button to view detailed connections status of the logging node.

Connection status

Status information for the Logging service:

Status	Description
`CONNECTED`	The connection is operational.
`DISCONNECTED`	The connection cannot be established.
`URL ERROR`	The provisioned URL cannot be parsed.
`HOSTNAME ERROR`	The host name in the provisioned URL cannot be resolved.
`AUTH FAILURE`	The server cannot be accessed with the provisioned user and password values.
`SERVICE FAILURE`	The service is connected, but is not functioning.

Logging services

Perform the following steps to add, modify or delete a logging service:

At the Lucent CM Explorer tree view, navigate to the Logging folder (Lucent CM System → Services → Logging).

Result: The Log Service List tab displays, listing the available services.

If ...	Then ...
you want to add a logging service,	Click Add Continue with Step 3.
you want to modify a logging service,	Select the service Click Edit Continue with Step 3.
you want to delete a logging service,	Select the service Click Delete Click Yes in the confirmation dialog box. End of Procedure

Configure the logging service parameters.

Click Add or Update to save the service.

Result: The Logging Services list is updated to reflect the changes.
