Add, modify, or delete a display group

Purpose

This topic describes the steps to add, modify, or delete a display group belonging to a partition.

Call Server

Display group functionality is only available when FS5000 is selected as Call Server Type.

Display group parameters

The display group parameters:

Valid group types are

  • Attendant

  • DirectedOperation

  • MLHG

  • Pickup

 

Display Group ID

 
 

A unique identifier for the display group.

The Display Group ID must match the FS 5000 parameter MLHG Tag.

 

Display Group Name

 
 

A descriptive name for the display group.

 

Attendant DN

 
 

The directory number of the controller for the attendant group. The Attendant DN can manage attendant group settings by changing Profiles via the Lucent CM user client.

This parameter is only available for when the Display Group Type is Attendant.

 

Pilot DN

 
 

The directory number that is the controller for the MLHG. The Pilot DN can manage MLHG group settings by changing Profiles via the Lucent CM user client.

A controller must be defined for the MLHG. So a user that is associated with the Pilot DN must be defined in Lucent CM. The controller can be a MLHG display group monitor or a MLHG display group user.

This parameter is only available for when the Display Group Type is MLHG.

 
 

Show Members

 

Button to display the list of group members.

The button is not available when adding a group.

The group member list shows:

  • User ID

  • IsMember

  • IsMonitor

 

Show Remote PUID

 
 

Checkmark box to enable or disable if the remote PUID is shown in the display group screens in the Lucent CM user client.

If enabled the Remote Phone num column shows the PUID of the remote party.

If disabled the Remote Phone num column will not show.

 

Display Queue Size

 
 

Checkmark box to enable or disable if the queue size for an MLHG is shown in the display group screens in the Lucent CM user client.

If enabled the Queue Size column shows the number of calls in the call queue.

If disabled the Queue Size column does not show.

This parameter is only available for when the Display Group Type is MLHG.

 

Add, modify, or delete a display group

Task StepsPerform the following steps to add, modify, or delete a display group:

At the Lucent CM Explorer tree view, navigate to the DisplayGroups folder. Lucent CM System → Partitions → <partition name> → DisplayGroups

Result:  The DisplayGroups tab displays, showing the display groups that are defined for the partition.

you want to add a display group,

 

  1. Click Add.

  2. Continue with Step 3.

 

you want to modify a display group,

 

  1. Select a display group

  2. Click Edit

  3. Continue with Step 3.

 

you want to delete a display group,

 

  1. Select a display group

  2. Click Delete

  3. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog box.

you want to view the members of a display group,

 

  1. Select a display group

  2. Click Edit

  3. Click Member.

Configure the display group parameters.

Click Add or Update to save the changes.

Result:  The DisplayGroups list is updated to reflect the changes.
