Sample configuration steps

The following high-level tasks are necessary to configure this sample IES.

 

Configure policies as required, for example, QoS access ingress and egress interface, Scheduler, ACL IP, Accounting, and ANCP.


Create and configure Subscriber 1.


Create and configure Service 1.

Workflow to configure an IES

The following workflow lists the high-level steps required to create an IES. As a prerequisite for creating a IES, this workflow assumes the following:

Create the IES. See To create an IES .

  1. Choose a customer to associate with the IES.

  2. Define the general properties for the IES.

  3. Turn up the IES service.


As required, configure AA reporting. See To configure an IES for AA reporting .


As required, create an IES site or GNE IES site. See To configure an IES site and To configure a GNE site on an IES service .


As required, perform one or more of the following on an IES site.

  1. Apply routing protocols, such as OSPF, RIP, or IS-IS, to an IES site, if required. See To apply OSPF, RIP, or IS-IS to an IES site .

  2. Add an IGMP interface to an IES. See To add an IGMP interface to an IES .

  3. Add a PIM interface to an IES. See To add a PIM interface to an IES .
