Topology map management workflow
Stages
| 1  | Determine the map type you want to view. See To open a topology map from the NFM-P main menu for more information. |
| 2  | View the relationship between objects drawn on the map. |
| 3  | Manage checkpoints. See Chapter 18, Impact analysis for more information. |
| 4  | Update the LSDB, if required. See To update the LSDB for more information. |
| 5  | Create topology map groups, as required. See To create user-defined groups on topology maps for more information. |
| 6  | Synchronize the IGP topology map with the NFM-P physical topology map, or synchronize the OPSF, OSPFv3, or ISIS topology map with the IGP topology map. See To synchronize topology maps for more information. |
| 7  | Assign a router ID to an ISIS router with no TE router ID when the TopologyIsisSystemError alarm is raised, as required. See To assign a router ID to ISIS routers with no TE router ID for more information. |
| 8  | Open a flat map, if required. See To open a flat map for more information. |
| 9  | Manage filters for flat topology maps, if required:
 |
| 10  | Filter and list objects on topology maps, if required:
 |
| 11  | View the legend information, if required. See To view the legends for a topology map . |
| 12  | Configure the type of information that is displayed on the CPAM topology map icon labels, if required. See To configure and view CPAM topology map icon labels for more information. |
| 13  | Configure the available menu options for IGP administrative domains, if required. See To configure available menu options for IGP administrative domains for more information. |
| 14  | Configure non-routed edge discovery policies to discover non-routed interfaces and subnets and represent them as adjacencies on the CPAM IGP and MPLS topology maps, if required. See To configure a non-routed edge discovery policy for more information. |
| 15  | Override non-routed edge discovery policies for specific routing interfaces to prevent network interfaces from being included in discovery calculations and from appearing on topology maps, if required. See To override a non-routed edge discovery policy for a routing interface for more information. |
