The following diagram illustrates the NG-MVPN multicast network architecture,

Multicast hosts at the CU and DU edges use IGMP or MLD for group membership, while PIM
manages local multicast routing. Traffic is aggregated through Routed VPLS (R-VPLS)
nodes into a central MVPN instance, then forwarded using mLDP across routers through the
core MPLS network. The multicast source is reached through E-LER PE nodes.
Note: Currently, SR Linux does not support
R-VPLS.
