Procedure 9-1: Configure T-MPLS on VLNC42B

- Overview

Use the procedures in this section to provision T-MPLS on the VLNC42B.

Step

1

Login to the VLNC42B being provisioned.

2

Verify the service mode of the VLNC42B is set to TMPLS.

From the Navigation menu, enter System → Configuration → Service Mode.

Reference:

Procedure 5-4: System configuration.

3

Configure global network parameters.

Reference:

Procedure 9-2: Set/view the parameters for the TMPLS global network settings.

4

Enable/Disable TMPLS Port.

Reference:

Procedure 9-3: Enable/Disable TMPLS port.

5

Configure QoS related profiles (PHB, OAMPHB, TD) as required.

Reference:

Procedure 9-4: Configure QOS (PHB Profile, OAM PHB Profile and Traffic Descriptor)

6

Create a user-defined L2 Encapsulation Profile, if required.

Note:

In the System there is a pre-defined L2 encapsulation profile identified by L2ENCAPPROF-1 AID, MAC-DA= all and TAG=UNTAGGED.

Reference:

Procedure 9-5: Create Layer 2 encapsulation profile (L2ENCAPPROF).

7

Create Tunnel segments and Tunnel AIDs for terminated and/or swapped tunnels.

The System supports a maximum of 750 bidirectional MPLS TUSegments, of which up to 250 may be terminated Tunnels.

The System supports a maximum of 250 MPLS bidirectional TUSegment cross-connects.

Reference:

Procedure 9-6: Create Tunnel segments and Tunnel AIDs.

8

Create Pseudowire segments for terminated tunnels.

Reference:

Procedure 9-7.1: Create Pseudowire segments.

9

Create fast facility protection group for existing tunnels, if required.

Reference:

Procedure 9-8.1: Create TMPLS protection.
