Alarm list with severity levels

Overview

This section provides the reported alarm list with severity levels for Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-5 shelves equipped with the VLNC2 System Controller, VLNC35 Fast Ethernet, and VLNC5x SONET/SDH Transport circuit packs.

Important!

If the Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-5 shelf is equipped with a VLNC33 3-Port 100 Optical Fast Ethernet Port Expander, VLNC40/42/42B Ethernet Aggregator, VLNC60/61/62 Circuit Emulator, and/or VLNC64 Circuit Emulation Mini-Hub circuit pack, service-affecting incoming signal failures and equipment failures are reported using circuit pack faceplate LED indicators and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps. Refer to Procedure 5-3: Address VLNC40/42/42B, VLNC60/61/62, or VLNC64 circuit pack related failures.

The severity level for certain alarms is provisionable. In the table below, a bold X identifies the default severity level for alarm messages that have provisionable severity levels. If there are multiple severity levels listed, yet there is no bold X, the severity level for that alarm or condition is determined by equipment provisioning.
